Aion Open Beta

Awesome graphics and great details for an MMO. It looks promising so far.

The cut scenes are exactly like Guild wars... even character designs looked familiar.

Wings looked good but why put a time limit on flying?

The flying teleports are awesome, but still a little too WoW like...

A "glitch" I encountered. I was able to glide outside of the map, the only way to get back to the game is by killing yourself. What's the point...

The game is good so far, the quests are rather boring and most of them are still the same old grinding style quests. There are many areas I would try to improve upon if i were the developer. I'll say it again, I will play this game for now but it won't be a long stay. BT, my xbox is finally fixed! Gonna play some console games again ^^

Story: 4 what story?

Graphic: 8 Environment such as the sky are still just HD wallpapers, poor animations.

Music: 10 the sound effects like skill buffs sucked, the music saved this game.

Gameplay: 7 it's a grindfest

Replay value: 6

One of the Left 4 dead 2 campaign takes zombie apocalypse to the amusement park! Now this gets me excited for the sequal. If you are afraid of clowns, now its time to payback.

Aion quick review

I am a little dissapointed with Aion. It is another grindfest with very little team gameplays. If you have played WoW or Guild Wars before you might just go back to those games. Like I said Aion failed in China but I think it will do well here. It's not bad but its not great either. Because lots of people are willing to grind and play solo in the states, the game will be around for a little bit. This game is not very original, lots of things in the game reminds me of Guild Wars. The graphic is good prolly the best in MMOs but its not too great. The graphic is close to Far Cry 1 but slightly improved but that was considered good graphics long time ago... Aion is a good example to show that graphic isn't everything. I will play prolly for 1 or 2 months, it's not gonna be a long stay.
