Thoughts on Dungeon Fighter & Dragon Nest

Both games are excellent, free to play, action role playing games that require skills instead of just toon builds. Dragon Nest was very impressive in terms of graphic and gameplay, but both games missed one major element...massive pvp/pk. The two games only offered 5v5, 4vs4 arena pvps. Not that bad but just doesn't do it for me. Apparently, the developers focused on pve instead of pvp/PK.

Another game that suffered from this problem was Guild War. Guild War was nearly perfect but missed PK/massive PVP.

Some of my highly anticipated games are about to suffer from the same fate. They are Guild War 2, Tera and Diablo 3. All of these upcoming games will focus on PVE instead of PVP...

Stick with Aion or Forsaken World for now ppl.

Moving on to new games

Actually moving onto to older games that I've never played before. Odin Sphere for PS2, the new Wiiware game called Zombie Panic in wonderland and finally some of MAME games with friends online. I just got Super Mario Galaxy 2 but don't want to commit to it yet. No new games after Odin Sphere and Zombie Panic for now.

League of Legends

I've been playing nothing but League of Legends and now it's getting a bit old. It was fun while it lasted I am sure I will return to it again later.

Fantasy Earth Zero

What a great fucking MMO. I played a little bit of it, don't have the time to commit to it : (
No grinding in FEZ only pvp! As of now I deleted this game cuz it's too addictive.

Update: I went back to this game and reached lvl 31 and lost interest again. It's a great game but it gets boring after awhile. I am sure I will return to it later again.

PC gaming is dying

Seriously. Look at all the games that are out there for PC. Pretty much every game is a console port. PC doesn't have it own good games anymore. However there are still some fun to be had on PC and certain genres are the best and will always on PC. Let's take a look at what's still good on PC.
1. MMORPGs, one of the reasons why people still game on PC, MMORPGs just doesn't work well on consoles.
2. Strategy games, real-time strategy and turn-based strategy. Games like Starcraft, Warhammer 40k, Command and conquer, Heroes of magic and might and civilization just won't fly on consoles, strategy games is another reason that we should game on PC.
3. Simulation games such as The Sims, Railroad tycoon, Roller coaster tycoon are the best on PC.
4. PC exculsives, games like Diablo, Battlefield 2, Half life,The witcher, Crysis, Torchlight,
Mount and Blade and etc are still giving people some hope.

Other than the 4 points I have talked about there is almost no reason to play on PC. If you don't like MMORPGs or strategy games you might as well just buy a console now. Consoles will have more to offer, things like motion control and 3D graphics, features that are still not possible on PC.

PC gaming used to be great but right now it is not. There are still PC exclusives that are awesome but they have definitely slowed down, I mean like we don't see a PC exclusive every month now, it's more like every year but only couple exclusives.

Some of you also might say PC gaming is not dying, what the hell are you talking about! But let's face it, what are you playing right now? Modern warfare 2? Left 4 dead 2? Assassin's Creed 2? GTA 4? or is it Battlefield bad company 2? All of those games are lame console ports to PC. They just port all the console game onto PC and hope PC gamers will buy them just because they know there is a PC market for gaming out there. In addition, the online gaming experience is not the same as consoles because on PC there are always hacking in online gaming. Most of the games like Call of duty are ruined by hackers.

Another thing I noticed is that with new Windows platform, old games have compatibility issues.
For example, if you install a old game from Windows 98 to your new Windows 7 platform, there is a good chance that you can't play this game because of compatibility issues. In the near future, we can't dig out a old game and play because Windows platform have no backward compatibility. The compatibility mode in new Windows doesn't really work. On console, if you wish to play an old game you can just pop it right in and play whenever you want.

MMORPGs, strategy, simulation and PC exculsives games are the only reasons to play on PC. With motion control and 3D graphics taking over next gen of gaming, PC doesn't stand a chance. Console is now a obvious choice for the best gaming experience.

I am slowly moving onto console gaming after being a PC gamer for almost all my life. PC gaming is not quite dead yet because no console games can replace any MMORPGs or strategy games. I will only keep a PC just those genres.

End of an era

About a year ago, I quit all online games and MMOs and swore to never touch any of those again. Today, I've decided to quit gaming all together that includes consoles, handhelds and PC games. The reason being I don't have the time and don't wish to waste anymore times on games. I still love games and have a great passion for gaming. Due to many things in life that require my full attention, this hobby simply cannot go on.

I may eventually return to gaming but I don't think there is anytime soon. I will announce it if I decide to return but that won't happen in the near future, if I do come back, I plan to broadcast on JTV, it's something I've always wanted to do but didn't get the chance to do so.

Before I quit there are 5 games I must complete:
Already on this game and I want to complete it, about 50% complete already.
I am a big Metal Slug fan, I plan to complete this game when I finish Lunar.
I am already pretty far into this game but never completed it, I hope to complete it soon.
Big fan of the anime, gonna try this.

I will try this for nostalgia, highly doubt that I will finish it.

March Madness

These are bunch of games I will play or at least try this month, a lot of titles.
Wii:

Kinda reminds me of Fatal Frame, I will try this game for sure.
hmm...It better be good.

I will play this for sure, I hope its better than the first one.

This game is prolly gonna be a gem on the wii must try to find out.

DS:
A game with lots of hype. I've beat only one pokemon game in my life. This could be the 2nd.
PC:

Need I say more? A must have for a PC gamer.
The first Warhammer 40k got me hooked. I hope this one is even better.

AC2 on PC.

Another game for the PC cuz I don't have a xbox.

Been lazy and site changes

I've been busy lately, lots of stuff going on atm. But I am also taking some time to try bunch of new games, mostly Wii games. Right now I am on Lunar: Sliver Star Harmony(PSP), Smackdown vs Raw 2010(Wii), Sonic and Sega all stars racing(Wii) and Starcraft 2(PC) beta. I got bunch of new games and I don't have the time to play them all.

The site and domain has been changed from "Wolong Live" to "Esco Gaming" because I don't use the name Wolong anymore. I am also getting rid of the "Features" and "Now playing" section on this page. Mainly due to I don't have the time to constantly update what's being played and what's been completed.
