PC gaming is dying

Seriously. Look at all the games that are out there for PC. Pretty much every game is a console port. PC doesn't have it own good games anymore. However there are still some fun to be had on PC and certain genres are the best and will always on PC. Let's take a look at what's still good on PC.
1. MMORPGs, one of the reasons why people still game on PC, MMORPGs just doesn't work well on consoles.
2. Strategy games, real-time strategy and turn-based strategy. Games like Starcraft, Warhammer 40k, Command and conquer, Heroes of magic and might and civilization just won't fly on consoles, strategy games is another reason that we should game on PC.
3. Simulation games such as The Sims, Railroad tycoon, Roller coaster tycoon are the best on PC.
4. PC exculsives, games like Diablo, Battlefield 2, Half life,The witcher, Crysis, Torchlight,
Mount and Blade and etc are still giving people some hope.

Other than the 4 points I have talked about there is almost no reason to play on PC. If you don't like MMORPGs or strategy games you might as well just buy a console now. Consoles will have more to offer, things like motion control and 3D graphics, features that are still not possible on PC.

PC gaming used to be great but right now it is not. There are still PC exclusives that are awesome but they have definitely slowed down, I mean like we don't see a PC exclusive every month now, it's more like every year but only couple exclusives.

Some of you also might say PC gaming is not dying, what the hell are you talking about! But let's face it, what are you playing right now? Modern warfare 2? Left 4 dead 2? Assassin's Creed 2? GTA 4? or is it Battlefield bad company 2? All of those games are lame console ports to PC. They just port all the console game onto PC and hope PC gamers will buy them just because they know there is a PC market for gaming out there. In addition, the online gaming experience is not the same as consoles because on PC there are always hacking in online gaming. Most of the games like Call of duty are ruined by hackers.

Another thing I noticed is that with new Windows platform, old games have compatibility issues.
For example, if you install a old game from Windows 98 to your new Windows 7 platform, there is a good chance that you can't play this game because of compatibility issues. In the near future, we can't dig out a old game and play because Windows platform have no backward compatibility. The compatibility mode in new Windows doesn't really work. On console, if you wish to play an old game you can just pop it right in and play whenever you want.

MMORPGs, strategy, simulation and PC exculsives games are the only reasons to play on PC. With motion control and 3D graphics taking over next gen of gaming, PC doesn't stand a chance. Console is now a obvious choice for the best gaming experience.

I am slowly moving onto console gaming after being a PC gamer for almost all my life. PC gaming is not quite dead yet because no console games can replace any MMORPGs or strategy games. I will only keep a PC just those genres.
